This is one of the frequent questions I receive when teaching the coupon workshops. I joke that no one could afford me if I charged ~ but that I will teach you how to save as much (or more!) than I do. I did a favor for someone special, matching her diaper rain checks with soon-to-expire coupons. I added surprises, most of which were free with coupons. The most 'expensive' additional purchase (milk) cost 99 cents. Three catalina coupons from the register were a bonus. Less than $44. was spent on this shopping extravaganza, so her personal shopping consultant saved over $100. I just love spending other people's money.
I developed 'The Art Of Frugality' lifestyle many years ago. As a young military wife, I quickly learned to live within my means. Many mistakes were made along the way, but invaluable lessons were the result. The development of my book began 25 years ago, although I was unaware! I heard "you should write a book" over and over. I taught others how to be frugal but did not have time to write a book, nor did I ever think the timing was right. In other words, there was never inner peace about pursuing such an undertaking. I began to think about such a possibility as my children grew older. Writing the book was one of the easiest things I have ever done. I put into print that which I have found to be an effective and efficient way to stretch a dollar.
